Verbal Commitment to Ohio State

Lakewood St. Edward is known for having solid offensive lines, but when you play the tough schedule that they play, it takes more than just some solid men up front to produce the type of numbers that Frank Edmonds has put up.   Edmonds is a 5'8, 187 pound tailback who runs with a purpose.  He reminds me a lot of former Akron Hoban tailback Tyrell Sutton.  Like Sutton, Edmonds' production numbers are off the charts.  In his first year as a starter during his junior year in 2005, he put up over 2,200 yards in just 12 games.  He uses his "lack of size" to his advantage by running low to the ground while using his strong upper body and powerful legs to break opposing tackles.  Despite his success on the field, Edmunds doesn't quite get the credit that he deserves because of his measurables, but he is one of the best tailbacks in Ohio's 2007 class, which is saying a lot.  The school that gets his signature in February is going to get a heck of a player.
