Entering this season,  Matt Straniak was #3 on Warren Harding's depth chart at quarterback.  In the Raiders' week 3 game against Akron Buchtel, the door opened for Straniak to start, and the senior took full advantage of his opportunity by going 4-4 for 82 yards and a touchdown, connecting with Chris Rucker on a 74 yard touchdown pass & catch late in the fourth quarter as Warren Harding escaped 20-13.  With so many athletes around him, Straniak isn't one of those quarterbacks that's asked to do everything, but one thing that he has done well is manage the game, which is the main thing that coaches want out of their quarterback.
