Mike Phillips
Warren Harding Class of 2003

PITT
");

By David Baugh
Mike Phillips was one of the headliners from Warren G.
Harding's impressive class of 2003.  His leadership,
discipline, and athletic ability made him a standout
on both sides of the ball.  Rotating at quarterback
with Mike Kokal, Phillips was a dual threat with good
speed to make things happen with his legs, as well as
the arm to air it out downfield.  He showed poise in
clutch moments agsinst the toughest of teams.
Defensively, Phillips was a solid cornerback, earning
First Team All Ohio honors as a senior in 2002.  His
efforts earned him a scholarship at the University of
Pittsburgh.  Reportedly. he now weighs in at 200
pounds and is expected to start at free safety for the
Panthers in 1006.
